SAG Awards 2017: Best and Worst Dressed

The 23rd Annual Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards, honoring the best achievements in film and television performances in 2016, was held on Sunday (January 29, 2017) at the Shrine Auditorium in LA. Although the SAG Awards are usually considered as some sort of less important event between the Golden Globes and the Oscars, they can be quite interesting, especially if you like red carpets (everything’s interesting in that case). 

Besides awarding outstanding performances in movies and on TV, the last night’s ceremony also served as a platform where actors and other celebs expressed their disapproval with Donald Trump’s infamous executive order banning Muslims, immigrants or refugees, from certain countries. While some celebs gave speeches, the Big Bang Theory’s Simon Helberg and his wife Jocelyn Towne opted for “visual” expression.

Back to the red carpet, as always some outfits were elegant, sexy, and sophisticated, while others weren’t. There were some cases where outfits were, simply, confusing or didn’t flatter an actress who was wearing it.
