What life taught me (so far) – lessons that enriched mind, soul, fashion
“The purpose of life is to live it, to taste the experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.” – Eleanor Roosevelt
Every single person on this planet has their own way of dealing with life and making it easier. For me, it’s:
READING – there’s absolutely nothing that can be compared to a good book. They say a readers have more than one life and it’s true. You have a new life with each character in every book you read. You’re included in the story and it’s really good, you don’t want it to end. You engage in life and problems of main characters and for a second, your own problems just disappear. Nothing can be as relaxing as reading a book during rainy day with cup of tea next to you. Absolute perfection.
COOKING – believe it or not, cooking is pretty relaxing. From the very moment when you’re deciding what to cook to the process itself, it’s all about soothing. You think about ingredients, enjoy the smells, the colors and forget about everything else. Also, you feel more accomplished when meal turns out to be a success. You realize you made it, step by step and that’s how everything should be done. One step at a time.
TRAVELING/EXPLORING – perfect way to enrich the life. It doesn’t have to be too far, some destination on another continent. It’s always good to visit a place you haven’t visited before. See things you haven’t seen before. And be around people you haven’t met before. Other places mean other people. Other people mean other culture. Everything is fascinating and soul-enriching. One must always strive to learn and see things. Culture doesn’t only enrich our soul, but our way of life or our style in general. Seeing other people and various places inspires us in every way. Changes our mindset, we get new ideas about everything and even about clothes. You’re inspired by everything you see and you want your clothes to say that. Even fashion designers make up their entire collections while visiting some inspiring place. Traveling is always IN fashion.
KEEPING IT SIMPLE – sometimes, you just get to the point when you realize you complicated your life needlessly. Always want more and when you get it, you still want more. We never take time to actually enjoy what we have now. It’s important to remember that everything has its own natural order. Rushing things never ended successfully. Worrying too much is never good, especially when you get wrinkles, and that’s never in style. We have to be happy with who we are, what we do and what we have. If that’s not the case, no matter we gain later will never be enough.
SHOPPING – especially after doing a good job. It’s like a sort of reward for being good. New shoes, dress or perfume is always a good thing. And not only that, whenever you buy anything you know it’s because you worked for it and you deserve it. You make yourself happy. That’s always a good things.
Little things make life easier, it’s important to recognize them and stay who we are.
